There is a Beach Hazard Statement in effect for Cuyahoga, Erie, Lake and Lorain counties Wednesday.

There is a high swimming risk from waves and dangerous currents.

The National Weather Service issues a Beach Hazard Statement when wind, large waves, rip currents and longshore currents create swimming risks.

It can be dangerous for even good swimmers.
