Dangerous currents and waves lead to Beach Hazard warning

**The beach hazard warning expired at 2 p.m. Tuesday**

There is a Beach Hazard Warning in effect for Ashtabula, Cuyahoga, Erie, Lake, Lorain and Ottawa counties Tuesday.

There is a high swimming risk from waves and dangerous currents.

The National Weather Service issues a Beach Hazard Statement when wind, large waves, rip currents and longshore currents create swimming risks.

It can be dangerous for even good swimmers.
