A fun fact about a Mexican martini is that it’s not actually a traditional Mexican drink, but rather a Tex-Mex invention that originated in Austin, Texas. It’s often served in a martini glass with a salted rim and garnished with jalapeños. The drink is said to have been invented by a bartender at a popular Tex-Mex restaurant in Austin in the 1980s and has since become a beloved cocktail in the region.
