Western Reserve Distillers is excited to partner with FOX 8 for Thirsty Thursdays! This week’s featured drink is the Classic Mojito!

A fun fact about a classic mojito is that it was originally called “El Draque” after Sir Francis Drake, the English pirate and explorer who was said to have introduced the combination of rum, lime, and mint to Cuba in the 16th century. The name “mojito” is believed to come from the Spanish word “mojadito,” which means “a little wet,” referring to the refreshing and slightly wet texture of the drink.
