One fun fact about margaritas is that the cocktail’s origins are somewhat unclear, but one popular story is that it was invented in the late 1930s or early 1940s by a socialite named Margarita Sames, who was known for hosting glamorous parties in Acapulco, Mexico. Legend has it that she mixed up the first batch of the tequila, lime, and triple sec cocktail as a party favor for her guests, and it quickly became a hit. Whether or not this story is true, there’s no denying that the margarita has become one of the most beloved and iconic cocktails in the world!
