CLEVELAND, Ohio -- While he's pondering a two-year, $40 million contract offer to stay with the Miami Heat, Dwyane Wade has not publicly announced a decision.
But there's a lot of talk on social media that one reason for that is because he could be considering a move to the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Just yesterday, it was confirmed that Kevin Durant accepted a two-year, $54 million contract with the Golden State Warriors after averaging 27 points and seven rebounds during his 9-year NBA career. His decision was one of the most highly anticipated moves of the summer.
The Cavs' Matthew Dellavedova recently announced a move to Milwaukee, and Timofey Mozgov is heading to the Lakers.
Many sports reporters and commentators are now saying one of the ways for the Cavs to match the Warriors' talent this next season in light of these decisions is to try to get Wade.
The Huffington Post's Jordan Schultz says a league source told him that Wade is in preliminary talks with the Cavs.

ESPN's Brian Windhorst tweeted that Wade canceled some free agent meetings this week.

And Jason Carr, who is the son of Cavs legend Austin Carr, even posted about it on Facebook:

This is the second consecutive summer in which Wade and the Heat have gone through bumpy contract talks. Wade has spent all 13 of his NBA seasons in Miami and has repeatedly said he wants to spend his entire career with the club.
Wade averaged 19.0 points and 4.6 assists this past season, and was an All-Star selection for the 12th time.
He's also good friends with his former Heat teammate, LeBron James. They were just on vacation together in Spain, documenting the trip on social media.
