The Minnesota Twins shut down Indian bats on Wednesday afternoon en route to a 3-1 win and a 2-games-to-one win in the three-game series at Target Field.

Anthony Swarzak pitched 5 effective innings to get the win for the Twins, while Trevor Bauer took the loss by giving up all 3 runs in his 6 innings on the hill.

Jose Ramirez doubled in the Tribe’s lone run in the top of the third inning. That would be the end for the teams offense. Five total hits on the day for the Wahoo bats.

In the bottom of the third inning, Sam Fuld tied the game with a base hit to center field. In the fifth, the Twins took the lead for good. Brian Dozier doubled in Danny Santana to make it 2-1. Minnesota got another run in the sixth inning when Oswaldo Arcia homered to right field.

Bauer is now 4-5 on the season with a 3.93 era.

The Tribe starts a 4 game series in Kansas City on Thursday night.
