CLEVELAND– Cleveland Indians right-hander Trevor Bauer was traded to the Cincinnati Reds, ESPN MLB insider Jeff Passan first reported Tuesday night.

In exchange, the Tribe is getting a lot of help in the batting order in the form of right fielder Yasiel Puig.

The Athletic’s Ken Rosenthal reported the Indians also get Padres’ outfielder Franmil Reyes, pitching prospect Logan Allen and 19-year-old third baseman Victor Nova in the three-team deal.

Puig, an All-Star in 2014, is batting .255 with 22 home runs this year. Reyes has 27 homers and a .255 average.

In a message on Twitter, Puig said he’s ready for a championship season.

This season, Bauer was 9-8 with a 3.79 ERA. He’s been with the Indians since 2012 and was an All-Star last year.
