The Texas Rangers rang up 4 runs against Josh Tomlin on Tuesday, registering a 5-0 win over the Indians.

Tomlin, fighting for one of the spots in the rotation during his comeback from Tommy John surgery, allowed 7 hits and 4 runs, all of them earned in his 6.1 innings on the hill. The loss evened his spring training mark at 1-1.

Adrian Beltre delivered a two-run single in the first inning to take a 2-0 lead. The Rangers expanded the lead to 4-0 in the sixth inning when Michael Choice ripped a 2-run homer off Tomlin. For the spring, Tomlin has a 3.54 era.

Robbie Ross allowed 4 hits, and struck out eight batters in blanking the Tribe hitters over the first 7 innings to pick up the win.

Nick Swisher had two of the Indians total of 7 hits on the day at Goodyear Ballpark.
