CLEVELAND– The Indians had power on Tuesday night with 7 homers. On Wednesday night in the final game of the short two-game series with the Phillies, the Indians had 7 infield hits in picking up a 6-0 shutout win over Philadelphia.
The short attack helped Trevor Bauer, who pitched effectively enough over 5 innings to pick up the win. He allowed only one hit, but walked six and struck out 5. He got out of several jams and then the bullpen game to get the job done.
Cleveland got a run in the second on a sacrifice fly as Carlos Santana was safe at the plate.
Asdrubal Cabrera drove in two runs in the 3rd inning as the Indians beat a former Cy Young Award winner for the second night in a row (Cliff Lee.)
Cleveland made it 4-0 on a short dribbler down the 3rd base line by Ryan Raburn. He finished the night 4 for 5 and over the past several games was 12 for his last 14 including 2 homers on consecutive nights.
Raburn made it a 5-0 lead in the fifth inning with an RBI double to center field and Drew Stubbs drove in the final run in the 7th inning on an infield single.
Cleveland is off on Thursday and back at Progressive Field against Minnesota Friday night.
