CHICAGO, Illinois — You probably won’t be hearing Scottie Pippen sing “Take Me Out to the Ball Game” during games three, four, or five of the World Series when the games are played in Chicago next weekend.

The former Chicago Bulls player and six-time NBA champion took to the mic during the seventh inning stretch Saturday night just before the Cubs beat the Los Angeles Dodgers to take the National League Championship Series pennant and cement their place in the World Series for the first time since 1945.

Pippen either didn’t know the words to the iconic song or choked in front of 40,000 fans.

He got several words wrong and relied on the audience for other parts of the song.

Of course, the Cubs face the Cleveland Indians — who are playing in the World Series for the first time since 1997.

The World Series is on Fox 8. Be sure to stay with Fox 8 after every game for LIVE, post-game coverage.
