CLEVELAND - The Cleveland Browns have just a few days left to prepare for their first game of the regular season against the Philadelphia Eagles.

"It is game week. It is always exciting when you are getting ready to kick off the season," coach Hue Jackson said. "Being on the road against a quality opponent against the Philadelphia Eagles, a good football team coached by a good guy, great guy, done well in the National Football League. It is going to be a tremendous challenge for our football team, but we are looking forward to it and excited about the season to get started.”

At practice on Wednesday, the team voted for captains, nominating Robert Griffin III as one.

“The testament of Robert being named captain is it came from his teammates. They voted on it. Coaches had nothing to do with it. This was all his teammates."

Coach Jackson says RG3 has shown that he is someone to depend on and someone who works everyday to prove himself and be better.

The Browns lost all four of their preseason games and know they have a lot to prove as a team this season.

"There are 31 other teams that are trying to knock us off, and we are trying to knock them off. That is just part of this deal. That is the way it is in this league. It is competitive. When you are down people try to step on you, and when you are up, people try to pull you down. That is the way it works.”
