Cavaliers confirm trade with Denver Nuggets for Timofey Mozgov

The Cavaliers announced they have acquired center Timofey Mozgov from the Denver Nuggets, according to a release.

Along with Mozgov, the Cavaliers will get a 2015 second round draft pick in exchange for two protected 2015 picks via Oklahoma City and Memphis.

Mozgov is averaging 8.5 points per game and 7.8 rebounds.  He has the size to be an inside rim protector the team has needed.

The team has now been involved in 3 trades in the past 72 hours, also acquiring J.R. Smith and Iman Shumpert from the Knicks.

The Cavaliers take on the Houston Rockets on Wednesday night, J. R. Smith is active for the game, but Shumpert will remain out after his left shoulder was dislocate during his Dec. 12 came with the Knicks against the Celtics. He will be re-evaluated in two weeks.
