CHICAGO, Illinois — Mike Holmgren will retire as Cleveland Browns president at the end of the year, new owner Jimmy Haslam III said at a news conference on Tuesday.
The news comes after NFL owners voted to officially make Jimmy Haslam III majority owner of the team.
Haslam called Holmgren a first-class individual and said the departure from the team was “amicable.” Joe Banner will be introduced as the team’s CEO tomorrow in Berea, Haslam said.
