CLEVELAND – Cavaliers Coach Ty Lue got one amazing phone call on Thursday.

President Barack Obama called to congratulate the Cleveland Cavaliers on their NBA Championship.

He commended Coach Lue for the great season and how well he did in his first year as head coach.

“I just want to say congratulations, you did a great job. It didn’t hurt having this guy named LeBron James, he seemed to do something. I’ll tell you, Kyrie though, came alive.”

“I know LeBron, so I already emailed him. Let the rest of the team know we’re proud of them.”

He also invited the entire team to the White House to celebrate their win.

After talking for a few minutes, he ended the call with a laugh about J.R. Smith’s shirtless streak.

“Tell J.R. and everybody to put on a shirt though. You can’t be just walking around without a shirt, for like a whole week. Shumpert taking off his shirt, Kyrie taking off his shirt. Come on man,” Obama said laughing.
