Week No. 7 of Friday Night Touchdown, and computer playoff points were at stake at games all over Northeast Ohio.
Tonight, the No. 2 team in the Fox 8 Top 8, the Benedictine Bengals, traveled to NDCL to face the Lions in the Fox8.com Game of the week. Benedictine scored the win, 45-17.
The Coughlin Cam was recharged and saw the No. 3 team in the Fox 8 Top 8, Midview, hosted Olmsted Falls and won, 35-10; while North Ridgeville headed to Avon. Avon won, 48-14.
The improving Euclid Panthers were at DiBiasio Stadium to face the Elyria Pioneers; final score there: Panthers, 21, Pioneers, 10.
Unbeaten Mayfield, No. 4, was home and took on the tough Hilltoppers of Chardon; it was a close one, but Mayfield scored the win, 28-21.
Number 7 Mentor took on the Medina Bees and won, 42-20.
P.J. Ziegler saw Cuyahoga Falls invade Nordonia, but they were scoreless and Nordonia won, 41-0.
Last week, Medina Highland toppled unbeaten Aurora. Tonight, they fell to Copley, 41-10.
Comedian Mike Polk, Jr. joined the gang as co-host and was at Lakewood Stadium to see two teams looking for win number one of the season. The Westlake Demons and the Lakewood Rangers. Westlake won, 35-17. Mike was in-studio to dish out highlights with his trademark snappy wit.
All in all, 20 games were covered.
