CLEVELAND, Ohio– The Cleveland Indians welcomed a champion to Progressive Field on Sunday.
University of Akron Zip Clayton Murphy threw the first pitch as the Indians took on the Miami Marlins.
The team tweeted out a photo of Clayton, who is holding the bronze medal he won in the 800m in last month’s Olympics in Rio. The New Paris, Ohio, native set a personal best of 1:42.93 for bronze.
