OHSAA state championship finals set for Saturday in Columbus

COLUMBUS – Four local teams compete on Thursday and Friday in the Final Four for the 2015 OHSAA state championships.

In division 3, VASJ defeated Columbus Eastmoor Academy, 62-34, on Thursday. This sends them to the state championship for the third year in a row. They will play Lima Central Catholic at 1:30 p.m. Saturday.

In division 2, Cleveland Central Catholic defeated Columbus Walnut Ridge, 54-38, on Friday morning. They will play Defiance in the state championship game on Saturday at 4:30 p.m.

In division 1, two local teams made it to the Final Four. Garfield Heights lost to Westerville South, 60-57, ending their run at a state championship. St. Edward’s fell to Huber Heights Wayne, 57-51.
