COLUMBUS– The Buckeyes scored a victory over Western Michigan on Saturday, winning 38-12.
Mike Thomas scored the first touchdown for the Buckeyes on their first drive, scoring within the first two minutes of the game.
The Western Michigan Broncos were able to get on the board, but missed the extra point, as they’ve been struggling with special teams throughout the season.
The Buckeyes continued to pile on the points, leading 24-6 going into the half. They also scored again early in the third quarter, adding to their lead even more.
Western Michigan wasn’t going down without a fight though, scoring again in the third quarter. They failed on the two-point conversion, trailing 31-12.
The Buckeyes scored once again in the fourth, adding onto their lead and making their way to a 17th consecutive victory.
Western Michigan has dropped 13 consecutive games against current Big Ten programs since posting a 28-19 victory at Iowa in 2007.
