BEREA, Ohio -- There is no extra pressure for new Browns quarterback Robert Griffin III despite the history at the quarterback position in Cleveland.

“No pressure, no diamonds," said the new Browns quarterback. That was his final statement during his introductory news conference in Berea on Wednesday afternoon. Griffin comes to Cleveland after four years in Washington D.C. in which he was the second overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft by the Redskins.

“I just want to play ball, man. I am excited to be here," said Griffin. "Last year, I didn’t have an opportunity to play football so to have that opportunity here and compete and grow, it is truly a blessing.

Griffin promised that he is healthy and ready to lead this team in anyway he can after undergoing knee surgery following the 2012 season. His head coach and offensive coordinator, Hue Jackson says he is comfortable with where RGIII is at in his skill set and was quick to point out that the offense will not be suited just for Griffin.

"In our system, it isn’t just about Robert. Our system is about our offensive players. I think we are flexible enough to handle whoever is playing for us. Not just at quarterback but at running back, tight end receiver, everywhere," Jackson said.

Griffin gives the Browns four quarterbacks on their roster and they are likely to draft another one later in April at the NFL Draft. Griffin is not worried about the Browns second overall pick later this month, his primary concern is leading this team and being the best quarterback and teammate that he can be.

"You just have to learn from what happened, learn from your mistakes, take your success and try to build upon that," he said. "That is really what we are trying to do here. I am not trying to let any baggage hold me down from the past, but I do have a massive chip on my shoulder. I know this team has a massive chip on its shoulder.”

The pressure is on to turn this franchise around and RGIII seems poised to handle the task.
