One down! Cavs claim Game 1 over Pacers

CLEVELAND– The defending NBA champs beat the Indiana Pacers 109-108 in a nail-biter ending for Game 1 of the first round of the playoffs.

Kevin Love put up 10 while LeBron James waited until late in the first quarter to add 4.

LeBron started to heat up in the second quarter with 10 more points. At the half, he also had 8 assists and 4 rebounds. After two quarters, Kyrie Irving added 15. The Cavs shot 61 percent from the field.

The Cavaliers went on a 10-point run late in the the third quarter, giving fans plenty to to cheer about. They wrapped up the third quarter up 92-84.

Indiana took over the lead with less than 4 minutes left in the game until James tied it up with dunk.

LeBron ended up with 32 points, 6 rebounds and 13 assists. Irving had 23 and Love had 17.

James is the ninth player in history to play in 200 or playoffs game. He has won 18 straight games in the opening round.
