EASTLAKE – Michael Brantley will be putting on a Lake County Captains uniform this week instead of a Cleveland Indians uniform.
Brantley played in just a handful of games this season after getting shoulder surgery late last year. He was expected to need about 6 months to recover.
He was placed back on the DL in May after having some complications with the injury.
As the Indians head to the All-Star break this week, Brantley will rehab with the Indians affiliate, the Lake County Captains.
The Indians return from the All-Star break next Saturday, but don’t return to Progressive Field until July 26.
