CLEVELAND – Danny Salazar and Francisco Lindor have been named to the 2016 Major League Baseball’s All-Star team!

The right-handed Salazar, who was June’s pitcher of the month, and shortstop  Lindor, just 22, are both first time All-Star picks. They were named to the American League reserves.

According to the Indians, Lindor is the youngest Indians All-Star player since Buddy Bell (21) in 1973.  He is the fourth-youngest Indians All-Star behind Bell, Bob Feller and Herb Score.

The All-Star game will take place on Tuesday, July 12 at 8 p.m. at Petco Park in San Diego. The game will be airing right here on Fox 8 – so get ready to cheer on our Tribe members as they take the field.
