CLEVELAND– Kyrie Irving was Mr. Fourth Quarter, once again and that led to a Cavalier win over the visiting Utah Jazz, 104-101.
Irving scored 20 points on the night, and grabbed 7 rebounds while dishing out 10 assists as Cleveland matched its win total from last season with #21.
Irving got one of his two steals on the night with one minute to go and then found teammate Wayne Ellington for a dunk with 56 seconds remaining and the Cavs had the lead they would not relinquish the rest of the way.
After former Cavalier Mo Williams missed a layup, the Cavs got the ball back and Ellington went to the charity stripe and knocked down 2 free throws with 2 seconds left to ice the win.
Ellington and Tristan Thompson each scored 16 points to aid the Cavs cause.
Gordon Hayward led the Jazz with 25 points.
The Cavs host the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday night.
