Thomas had been voted to the Pro Bowl for the 6th straight year. It’s an amazing string of consistency for the former Wisconsin star. Thomas, who has not missed a snap in six seasons will be headed to Hawaii once again to represent the AFC in the annual all-star contest.
And, he’s not alone.
Phil Dawson, in his 14th year in the NFL, finally got the nod and is going to the Pro Bowl as well. Dawson, who is 28 of 29 in field goals was tabbed, while teammates Alex Mack, D’Qwell Jackson and Josh Cribbs were named as first alternate, at center, linebacker and special teams.
Mack, Jackson and Cribbs can get tickets to Hawaii if others ahead of them are unable to play.
Thomas’ agent Peter Schaffer added in his Twitter announcement that Thomas is one of only 15 players to go 6 for 6 in their first 6 seasons in the league in getting named to the Pro Bowl. 13 of those players are in the Hall of Fame
