CLEVELAND – The massive disappointment over the postponement of the Cleveland Indians 2016 home opener has the Indians reworking the ticket exchange options for the thousands of fans who were left out in the cold.

If you had a ticket to Monday’s postponed game, you now have two options:

  • Attend the rescheduled home opener on Tuesday, April 5 AND pick any other April or May game
  • For those who cannot attend Tuesday’s rescheduled game: attend two other games of your choice during April or May.

In a statement released by the team, owner Paul Dolan said, “We know how special Opening Day is for our fans, and recognize how unfortunate the challenging weather scenario was for them. We value each and every one of our fans, and we want to make this unique and difficult situation right by extending this offer.”

Fans can begin exchanging tickets for alternate games beginning at 10 a.m. on April 6th. You must make all of your exchanges by April 22nd.

If you bought your ticket through a third-party seller, you’ll want to take note of this however: According to the release, “tickets purchased through StubHub and third-party vendors are valid for the April 5th game only and are not extended additional exchange opportunities.”
