Ubaldo Jimenez was a little wild, but his blazing fastball bailed him out several times in pitching the Tribe to a 2-0 win in Houston.

Jimenez went six and two-thirds innings, allowing four hits and no runs. He walked four but he punched out eight batters to keep the Astros from causing any trouble.

Jimenez was staked to a 1-0 lead early in the game. Shin-Soo Choo tripled, and rode home on the Cabrera sacrifice fly. Cleveland got its second run in the 9th inning on a Michael Brantley RBI single.

Relievers Joe Smith, Vinnie Pestano and Chris Perez were outstanding, shutting down the Astros. Perez struck out the side and recorded his 23rd save of the season.
