Indians Hang On to Top Twins, 6-5

MINNESOTA — The Indians were looking to wrap up their regular season with a successful road trip in Minnesota, but the first game with the Twins turned into a nail-biter in the 9th inning.

The Tribe got off to a hot start in the 4th inning with Ryan Raburn scoring off a Twins error. Yan Gomes hit a 2-run homer to left to make it 3-0.

The Indians added three more runs, leading 6-1 heading into the bottom of the 9th with Chris Perez on the mound.

Perez gave up 4 runs in the bottom of the 9th. Joe Smith came in with two outs to grab the 6-5 win.

Indians will face the Twins again Friday at 8:10 p.m.
