Corey Kluber out dueled All Star Felix Hernandez on Wednesday night as the Indians blanked the Mariners 2-0.
Kluber went the distance and used only 85 pitches in shutting down Seattle. He scattered 3 hits and struck out 8 batters.
It was as dominating a performance as one could see in baseball this year. Kluber did not walk any batters and is now 11-6 on the season.
The performance solidified Kluber as one of the best pitchers in the American League, making the All Star slight all the more noticeable.
The only runs of the game came in the 5th inning when Yan Gomes ripped a double down the first base line which brought home Chisenhall and Swisher.
Swisher had two of the Indians 4 hits on the night.
The same two teams meet on Thursday night.
