FNTD Week #4: Shaker Heights Shuts Out Parma

SHAKER HEIGHTS, Ohio – Shaker Heights quarterback Jimmie Pope continues to impress. The senior signal caller tossed four more touchdown passes Saturday, as the Red Raiders routed Parma, 55-0.

Pope finished the afternoon 23-28 for 274 yards and those four scores. He also added a two-point conversion as (3-1, 1-0 in NOC) Shaker won its third straight game, following a season-opening defeat at Solon, when the Red Raiders defense allowed two touchdowns in the final six minutes.

Ramses Owens carried the load on the ground, with 127 yards on just 10 carries and a season-high three touchdowns as Shaker won its first game as a member of the Northeast Ohio Football Conference. The loss drops Parma to 1-3, 0-1 NOC.

Shaker Heights hits the road next Friday, September, 21st to battle (1-3) Medina, while Parma returns home to Byers Field to host (3-1) Mentor, a 45-14 winner over Mayfield.
