Friday Night Touchdown Commissioner Dan Coughlin caught a couple of upsets beginning with the Midview Middies who lost to the Olmsted Falls Bulldogs 31 to 28.   The Bulldogs were led by running back Spencer Linville who rushed for 229 yards and two touchdowns.

The Middies were led by quarterback Dustin Crum  who had three touchdowns on the night.   He threw for two and rushed for another.  He was 19 of 35 for 219 yards and had 159 yards on the ground.  He finished his career  as the Lorain County all-time leader in passing yards and passing touchdowns.

Olmsted Falls will face Westlake next week.

He then watched the Avon Lake Shoreman upset the Avon Eagles 27 to 26.   They were led by quarterback Mark Pappas who finished the night 10 of 20 for 180 yards and three touchdowns.    The offense also got a boost from running back Tyler Nelson who rushed for 82 yards and scored the go ahead touchdown which came in the third quarter.

The Eagles lost their quarterback Matt Kelly to an injury in the third quarter.

Avon Lake will face Whitehouse Anthony Wayne next week.
