It’s week 11 and the Friday Night Touchdown team is once again geared up to bring you our playoff edition at 11 p.m.
FOX 8 crews will be at 21 games all over Northeast Ohio to capture the drama and thrilling highlights of playoff football.
Now with 7 divisions in the state of Ohio, the reshuffling means more games on this Friday night and more teams with chances to make it to Stark County for the state finals.
The Glenville Tarblooders are now in Division 2 and Ted Ginn’s very talented team will host Brush at Bedford Bearcat Stadium.
Stocked with major college talent, the Tarblooders will try to slow down Stephen Shorts, the triggerman for the Arcs’ offense.
Also in Division 2, the Willoughby South Rebels, who soundly beat Madison a few weeks ago, once again host the Blue Streaks.
Madison just thumped the Painesville Riverside Beavers, the same team that beat Willoughby South. Riverside will be at Brecksville-Broadview Heights.
The Highland Hornets will host their matchup with Avon Lake at North Royalton’s Serpentini Stadium. Tom Lombardo has done an excellent job with the Hornets.
Defending state champ, Akron St. Vincent-St. Mary, begins its quest for the Division 3 title when they host the Bombers of Kenston.
Division 6 juggernaut, Kirtland will host McDonald. The Hornets are coming off a state runner-up performance in 2012. Kirtland had another perfect regular season this fall.
Those are just a few of the games we will cover on this week’s playoff edition of Friday Night Touchdown.
