SHAKER HEIGHTS – Stow’s potent running game keeps gobbling up yards and and Bulldogs keep gobbling up victories, thanks to workhorse back Jayson Gobble.

The junior racked up more than 200 yards and scored two touchdowns, leading Stow (5-0) to a 31-14 win over Shaker Heights (1-4) that was not as close as the final score.

Stow Quarterback Kyle Vantrease tossed a pair of touchdown passes as the Bulldogs put the Red Raiders away in the second half.

Sophomore speedster Terrance Colvin returned a punt 79-yards in the final moments to close the gap for Shaker.

Stow’s win sets up a huge game in the NEO Conference’s River Division next week, when the Bulldogs travel to #1 Hudson to battle the undefeated Explorers.
