CLEVELAND, Ohio — Our crews covered more than 20 high school football games for  week 9 of Friday Night Touchdown.


The Perry Pirates and West Geauga Wolverines battled it out as the game of the week. West Geauga scored the win, 49-28.

Almost 4,500 total votes were cast this week. That game garnered 38 percent of the votes to 37 percent for Stow vs. Brecksville.  Stow won, 37-28.

PJ Ziegler took in Avon vs. Berea-Midpark and the North Olmsted and Olmsted Falls tilts. Avon scored a huge win over Berea-Midpark, 63-15; while North Olmsted won 23-13.

Number 2 Benedictine beat Walsh Jesuit, 48-21. The Mentor Cards, also a Top 8 team, hosted Brunswick and won, 20-10.

The Coughlin Cam took in Senate play as Glenville met Collinwood. Glenville didn’t let them score once. The final: Glenville, 44; Collinwood, 0.

Coughlin also saw Elyria Catholic and Rocky River tangle. Rocky River won this one, 33-14.

Kristi Capel from Fox 8 News in the Morning is our special guest host. She covered the Elyria and Strongsville affair. Elyria won, 24-21 in OT.
