PEPPER PIKE – Willoughby South started the season 0-3 after a tough stretch of games against teams with combined record of 13-2, but the Rebels seem to be hitting their stride.

South’s (2-3) star tailback D.J. Greene and the Rebels ran past University School (2-3) Saturday, 43-10 for their second straight win.

Greene ran for more than 200 yards and four touchdowns in the first half.

South racked up more than 300 yards rushing as a team, punctuated by Anthony Tutolo’s 75-yard scamper late in the fourth quarter.

Neither team scored after halftime.

Frank Sinito scored the Preppers’ only touchdown, on a short run in the second quarter.

Willoughby South returns home next week to host Chardon (4-1) in a key Premier Athletic Conference clash.

University School hits the road to battle winless Ashtabula Lakeside.
