The Akron Hoban Knights were very defensive against the St. Vincent St. Mary Irish as they forced four turnovers and pitched a shutout 24 to 0.  The Knights first score came from Nate Adolph who fell on a blocked punt in the end zone courtesy of teammate Donny Swain.  The offense also got in on the scoring act as quarterback Danny Clark was named the game MVP by the Great American Rivalry Series.

On the other side of the ball, Irish quarterback Donte Taylor finished with 104 yards passing and 30 yards on the ground.

Hoban has won the past three games against the Irish.   Next week the Knights will play Lake Catholic as the Irish will took rebound against Steubenville.
