CLEVELAND — It’s Playoff time for the best high school football teams across Ohio.
66 schools from Northeast Ohio qualified for the postseason, including nine #1 seeds in their respective regions.
The top seeds include St. Edward (8-1) in Division I, Region 1, Glenville (9-1) in Division II, Region 3, defending State Champion St. Vincent-St.Mary (10-0) in Division III, Region 7 and small-school powerhouse Kirtland (10-0) in Division VI, Region 19. Coach Tiger LaVerde’s Hornets are looking for their third consecutive title game appearance.
The ‘Friday Night Touchdown’ crew will cover 21 of the 64 opening round games this Friday, November 8th, across Divisions II, III, IV, and VI.
Parents, players, fans and their families can see highlights from the first night of the 2013 Playoffs on Week #11 of ‘Friday Night Touchdown’, which airs Friday night at 11:00 p.m., immediately following FOX 8 News at Ten.
The Regional Quarterfinals continue Saturday in Divisions I, V, and VII.
