RAVENNA, Ohio -- Three-time small school State Champion Mogadore jumped out to a 42-0 lead over Youngstown Christian, and held on to win the Division VI, Region 21 Final 42-20.

Looking to avenge last season's first round playoff loss the unbeaten Wildcats turned to their workhorse. Big bruising tailback Gary Strain scored on Mogadore's first play from scrimmage, an 82-yard touchdown run and the Cats never looked back.

Strain, who went over 2,000 yards rushing last week, scored his second touchdown of the game in the second quarter and the Wildcats raced out to a 28-0 halftime lead. Anthony Ricci threw a 28-yard touchdown pass to Kasey Beard for another score. The Wildcats are regional champs and face Newark Catholic in the state semifinals.
