FirstEnergy Stadium to get nearly $10 million in upgrades

CLEVELAND – Good news for Cleveland Browns fans.

FirstEnergy Stadium is getting some more upgrades.

Cleveland City Council voted on Wednesday night to invest about 10 million dollars in the facility.

The money will be used for new LED lights, sprinklers, security cameras and other improvements.

The money used is generated by the Cuyahoga County ‘sin tax’ on alcohol and cigarettes.

HURON, Ohio (WJW) -- The Huron Tiger Wrestling Moms are requesting that community members send cards and well-wishes to a high school athlete who was recently hospitalized.

Huron Tiger Wrestler KeAndre Moore was injured over the weekend while competing in a team duel. The sophomore ruptured his pancreas and is looking at a recovery time of four months to a year.

CLEVELAND (AP) — The Cavaliers went to extremes to help forward Kevin Porter Jr. He pushed them too far.

Cleveland has decided to move on from the troubled and talented player, a person familiar with his standing with the team told The Associated Press on Monday.
