Finalists for Greater Cleveland Sports Awards announced

CLEVELAND– The Greater Cleveland Sports Commission announced the finalists for the 17th Annual Greater Cleveland Sports Awards.

The winners will be revealed during the ceremony on Jan. 26 at the Renaissance Cleveland Hotel. Other honorees include former Cleveland Indians manager Mike Hargrove, and swimmer and heart transplant patient Kendra Seitz.

Cavs games at Washington postponed, Wizards don’t have enough players

CLEVELAND (AP) -- It has been a rough week for the NBA, with 11 games postponed since Sunday amid positive COVID-19 tests for some players and potential exposures determined through contact tracing keeping others off the floor for several days.

The latest two postponements were announced Friday; Cleveland's games at Washington on Sunday and Monday are off because the Wizards won't have enough players.

CLEVELAND (WJW) -- We're going to Kansas City, Kansas City -- here we come. Who would have thought at the beginning of the season that the Browns would be playing football in mid-January with a trip to the AFC Title game on the line? That's what is happening at Arrowhead Stadium Sunday afternoon.

The Browns advanced to the Divisional Round of the NFL Playoffs by beating the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday night, for their first playoff win since January of 1995. It was also their first road playoff win since 1969. Now, they head to Kansas City to face the defending Super Bowl Champions on Sunday afternoon.
