Oh the things you find when you go through your library.
Someone at the Indians organization recently found a letter that was written to the Tribe 9 years ago. An 11-year-old fan was asking that the Tribe bring back Coco Crisp.
And given the fact that the Tribe did just that – although it was just last month – they decided to try to find the letter writer, a student in Lakewood.
They found him! And the student said he “totally” remembers writing the letter – it was part of a persuasive essay project. He was a huge baseball fan back then and was very upset when Coco left. “He was one of my favorite players in the whole league,” the letter said.
And he’s offered the Tribe any more help in their managing decisions, telling them, “My favorite part is the part about if you guys need any more advice on how to manage a team, I could help.”
