The NFL denied his request and said Williams will be fined if he wears pink. He dyed his hair pink instead, which he said he plans to keep for the remainder of his career.

He is paying for the mammograms at a hospital in Charlotte, North Carolina near where he played for the Carolina Panthers for 9 seasons.

“It’s not just about October for me; it’s not just a month, it’s a lifestyle. It’s about getting women to recognize to get tested,” Williams told ESPN’s Lisa Salters.
