The Cavs have not announced James’ re-signing. The NBA prohibits teams from releasing contract terms, but ESPN’s Brian Windhorst reported the deal is worth $100 million over three years. For the first time in his career, LeBron is the highest paid player in the league.
“I’m ecstatic. I can’t wait to see my guys. I can’t wait to get back out there,” James said in a video for Uninterrupted on Thursday.
Last season, the NBA Finals MVP averaged 25.3 points, 7.4 rebounds and 6.8 assists a game.
