BEREA, Ohio –One day after trading Trent Richardson to the Indianapolis Colts, the Browns signed Willis McGahee.
McGahee, a 6′, 235-lb running back, was originally a first-round pick by Buffalo in the 2003 NFL Draft. He was selected to the Pro Bowl following the 2007 and 2011 seasons.
In a press release sent out on Thursday, the Browns said that McGahee appeared in 10 games last season with the Broncos and finished as the team’s leading rusher with 731 yards. He was placed on injured reserve with a knee injury on Nov. 21.
On Wednesday, the Browns announced McGahee would be brought to Cleveland for a physical; they made the announcement after revealing Richardson was traded.
