CHAMPAIGN, Ill. —The Ohio State Buckeyes rallied in the second half to beat Illinois, 48-39 on Saturday night.
Neither team shot well the entire night; in fact, Illinois led 23-20 at the intermission.
The Buckeyes didn’t take their first big lead of the game until Aaron Craft hit a three with 15:14 left in the second half, which gave Ohio State a 28-25 lead, Craft led the Buckeyes with 14 points.
Illinois shot 28 percent from the floor for the game, Ohio State shot 40%. The Illini had two players in double figures led by Tracy Abrams with 13 and Rayvonte Rice with 11.
Ohio State is now 20-6 on the year 7-6 in the Big Ten.
The Buckeyes return home next Wednesday to face Northwestern at Value City Arena.
