COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Ohio State Buckeyes were held to 18 points in the first half, then opened the second half on a 20-4 run in 7:30, and rode that to a 64-46 victory over the Minnesota Golden Gophers Saturday.
The Buckeyes have now won six of their last seven games after losing five of six games last month and got revenge on a Golden Gopher team that beat Thad Matta’s group 63-53 last month at Williams Arena.
Ohio State had three players score in double-figures led by Sam Thompson with 19 points. Lenzelle Smith Jr. added 13, and Shannon Scott threw in 10. Andre Hollins led Minnesota with 13.
The Buckeyes return to action on Thursday night when they travel to Penn State. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.
