CLEVELAND, Ohio — The NFL Wednesday announced this year’s preseason schedule, and the Cleveland Browns will face the Detroit Lions for their first preseason game in early August.
According to the Browns, the team will then play in front of a nationally televised ESPN audience on Monday, Aug. 18, in Washington, for its second preseason game against the Redskins. It will be the Browns’ first game on ESPN since 2009 and the team’s first preseason contest on ESPN since 2008.
The Browns will then face the Rams later in August, and then the Chicago Bears on Aug. 28.
More specific times and dates for the team’s preseason games will be announced in the near future.
The league is also expected to release the regular-season schedule this month.
