Fool’s Gold inspired by the movie “What If”

  • 1 loaf of Italian or French white bread
  • 1 jar of creamy peanut butter
  • 1 jar of jam
  • 1 pound of bacon
  • 1 stick of butter

Pre-heat oven to 350°F

Coat the loaf in butter. Bake it until golden brown (approximately 10 minutes).

While the bread is browning, fry the bacon until crispy. Drain.

Slice the loaf in half lengthwise and hollow out the inside.

Fill the bread with an entire jar of peanut butter on one side and an entire jar of

jam on the other.

Arrange the crispy bacon slices on the sandwich.

Cut and enjoy!

“Serves 8-10 people or one Elvis…”

Legend has it that one night in 1976, Elvis and his entourage flew from Memphis to Denver on a quest to try the sandwich. In the film, WHAT IF, Wallace and Chantry instantly bond over their fascination with Fool’s Gold.
