CLEVELAND - YouNow, a livestreaming website and app has more than 150,000 broadcasts per day.

Users can interact through comments and watch any kind of video they like.

It doesn't require log in and there is no registration, so parents are concerned about their children's safety. Experts are also concerned and said oversharing can lead to children and teens getting attention from the wrong people.

YouNow has been around for more than 4 years and they said it is centered around people getting noticed for their creativity. It is just one of several similar apps including Periscope, Meerkat and Facebook, which recently added a live video feature to profile pages.

YouNow has the following statement on their website regarding their safety procedures.

The Trust & Safety team uses a combination of automated systems and manual monitoring to ensure that all members of the YouNow community are kept safe. Guided by our Community Standards & Site Rules and Terms of Service, we continuously monitor YouNow broadcasts to warn, suspend, or ban any users who violate our policies. Click here to read more.
