Wrong-way driver hits RTA bus on Shoreway, no injuries reported

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WJW) — RTA officials are investigating after a wrong-way driver hit one of their buses.

According to spokesperson  Linda Krecic, it happened on the Shoreway, just past West 25th Street entrance around 8 p.m. on Friday.

She said a red SUV was merging from the on ramp when the driver suddenly U-turned to go east into the the westbound lanes as the bus was passing by. The vehicle struck  the left side of the bus without stopping.

No one was on board the bus at the time since it was out of service.
